Natural beauty was at the forefront of Sara and Nick’s wedding day, as they exchanged their vows in the midst of this beautiful botanical garden surrounded by their loved ones. Roughly one hour west of Toronto, in Burlington, Ontario you’ll find the Royal Botanical Gardens. This location is perfect for a nature-loving, outdoorsy couple like Sara and Nick.

As a photographer, one of my favorite aspects of shooting a wedding is the excitement before the ceremony. As I photographed both Sara and her bridesmaids, as well as Nick and his groomsmen, I was mesmerized by the emotion exuded from each group. Though many couples are fighting back nerves, this couple was sharing in laughs and goofiness with their closest friends. The moments captured during preperations display both Sara and Nicks’s personalities to a ‘T’.

The color palette of this wedding honed in on the natural elements as well. As Sara’s bridesmaids adorned a light dusty rose color, Nick’s groomsmen featured classic all-black suits as well. With the slight addition of muted mauves in Sara’s bouquet, the focus was almost entirely on the scenery.

For any couple seeking a venue that is both elegant and beautiful, look no further than Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington. The gardens themselves are a sight to behold—the lush greenery, winding paths, beautiful gazebo and blooming flowers create an atmosphere that is both serene and romantic. The outdoor ceremony area is surrounded by trees, which privacy for your special day.
