MHEAI & JACOB – TWILLINGATE, NEWFOUNDLAND

The intimate wedding of Mheai & Jacob took place in Twilligate, Newfoundland. A small town that exudes warmth, and charm. This couple oozes old-world love that makes it feel like they have known each other their whole lives. Photographing them on their wedding day was one of the most seamless and organic experiences I have ever had.

The wedding took place at Pier 39, located in the heart of Twillingate. With its East Coast-inspired charm and whimsical appeal, this venue is the perfect choice for couples looking for something unique.

One of my absolute favorite shots of the day took place on edge of the water. While Mheai and Jacob took the spot, I set up my off camera flash to the left of them. I was looking for something dramatic, in the mid day sun, no less. I envisioned this shot prior to leaving Toronto and it did not dissapoint. Mheai and Jacob were thrilled with the result and the slight pivot we took, to obtain it.

These two were full of laughs and smiles throughout the day, making my job of capturing natural, joy-filled moments simple. The way that Mheai and Jacob were able to tie in their classic love with Jacob’s family ties in Twillingate, and design choices made for some truly incredible photographs.
